- Despite a bowling-ball build, Cooper has good feet and agility, capable of working laterally down the line of scrimmage in pursuit.
- Cooper has the strong core and powerful hands to shed blockers, and he shows excellent instincts with the ability to quickly locate the ball.
- His ability to clog running lanes, however, is a talent highly coveted in the NFL.
- He has pure power, which is emphasized by a good pad level. Cooper can stand up at the point of attack and handle double teams, and he also has the ability to drive blockers back into the pocket with a bull rush.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- His spin move is a bit slow and mechanical. He’s susceptible to cut blocks, a tactic that was used on him often
- Cooper doesn’t have the ability to dip and bend around the edge, and Cooper lacks the necessary suddenness at the line of scrimmage to penetrate through gaps.
- Cooper doesn’t have a lot of suddenness to his game, and he won’t wreck plays on a regular basis.
