Scouting Report: Strengths
- He’s an instinctive and active chase-and-tackle 4-3 Will, with the speed to go sideline to sideline. Aguirre takes excellent angles. He also has an innate sense for shooting gaps as a run defender.
- He’s a sure and violent wrap-up tackler with sideline-to-sideline range. He’s an excellent tackler in space, showing loose hips and the ability to break down and contain runners.
- He’s rangy and instinctive when he’s looking into the backfield as a zone defender.

- He has enough speed to chase and run in pursuit. Aguirre has the overall athleticism to hold up in space when dropping into coverage.
- Good closing speed with long arms to drag down quarterbacks and running backs.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Often avoids blocks to survive between the tackles, which gives backs running lanes. Aguirre will jump at hesitation routes.
- Plays too high when trying to set the edge. His motor is inconsistent.
- As a pass rusher, Aguirre lacks the ideal length to consistently win off the edge, even if he manages to improve his at-times sloppy hand usage.
