- As a pass rusher, Figueroa shows quickness off the line and has the fluid athleticism and flexibility to bend the edge.
- Plays with exceptional balance and body control, showing off a nasty spin move to counter his speed, with the natural instincts to know when to use it.
- Figueroa could fit as a 3-4 OLB, as he held his own when he was asked to drop into coverage at times.
- Figueroa has the strong core and powerful hands to shed blockers, and he shows excellent instincts with the ability to quickly locate the ball.
- He’s best right now against the run, playing with a low pad level despite his relatively tall frame, and he has the violent hands to win at the point of attack.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Figueroa isn’t a true edge burner and might be better off kicking inside on passing downs.
- He doesn’t show much in the way of dynamic change-of-direction ability on counter moves, and Figueroa also has a limited repertoire of pass-rushing moves.
- Figueroa has to develop a counter move or two in the pass rush, and he needs to make better use of his hands.
