Following high school, Aumavae-Laulu opted to join Oregon.

In 2019 as a freshman Aumavae-Laulu saw action in just 3 games and played a total of 35 snaps for the Ducks. He allowed no QB hurries, no QB hits, and no sacks while playing at right guard.

As a sophomore in 2020 he played in 6 games and a total of 360 snaps. He conceded 5 QB hurries, one QB hit, and one sack while playing the majority of his snaps at tight tackle, and the rest at right guard.

In 2021 as a junior Aumavae-Laulu saw action in 14 games and totaled 710 snaps. He gave up 14 QB hurries, no QB hits, and no sacks while playing at right tackle.

In 2022 as a senior Aumavae-Laulu saw action in 12 games and played a total of 836 snaps for the Ducks. He allowed 10 QB hurries, one QB hit, and 2 sacks while playing most of his snaps at right tackle.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Has the feet to adjust when Aumavae-Laulu anticipates what's coming. Effective trapping and bends at the knees with adequate core strength to absorb the bull rush. Can clear a path at the second level if he hits the target.
  • Is effective when asked to pull, showing the agility, speed, and overall range to get out as a lead blocker, where he locates defenders and shows the ability to adjust and land blocks against linebackers.
  • Plays with appropriate wide base and intelligence, instincts and agility to seal the edge. Aggressive extending with power to punch and looks comfortable in space.
  • Aumavae-Laulu does a nice job working with teammates to build the pocket, anchoring against bull rushers and displaying good awareness against stunts and twists.
  • Tall with long arms, he has exceptional length and is a violent, aggressive, and precise puncher who can redirect pass rushers.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • His hands aren’t violent enough to stand pass rushers up early in the down, and Aumavae-Laulu generally plays with poor balance.
  • Lacks ideal movement skills in the run game. He’ll get to the second level, but he tends to lock on to a path toward his target and then struggles if he has to adjust.
  • Can struggle to stay engaged, especially on the second level. His hand placement can be sloppy, costing him power.
  • Could be a liability against speed-to-power pass rushers early in his career.
