Scouting Report: Strengths
- Shows a burst to close. Flashes explosive hitting ability and good lateral and downfield pursuit.
- Has good balance and short-area burst to stay on his feet through contact
- Good closing speed with long arms to drag down quarterbacks and running backs.
- A chase-and-tackle Will prospect, Bennett is instinctive, reading and reacting quickly and showing the ability to absolutely fly around the field.
- Bennett has value as an inside blitzer as well, showing the initial burst to shoot through gaps and disrupt the backfield.
- Bennett chases well in pursuit, and he has the athleticism to play in space if asked to drop into coverage.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Bennett also shows some stiffness when trying to bend the edge, often getting pushed past the pocket — Bennett seems more comfortable countering back inside.
- He could stand to be more violent as a tackler in the run game, as he too often allows backs to run through his arm tackles. Bennett also has limited experience dropping into coverage.
- Occasionally overruns plays due to aggressive nature. Hesitates when facing running back Blocks while rushing the passer.
