Draft Profile: Bio
Avieon Terrell from Westlake High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 3-star grade by 247 Sports. Following high school, Terrell opted to join Clemson after being heavily recruited. In 2023 as a freshman Terrell saw action in 9 games and played a total of 374 snaps at cornerback for the Tigers. He recorded 18 tackles, 3 assists, while adding 4 stops. In coverage Terrell notched up 2 pass breakups, one interception, and an elite QB rating when targetted of 42.8.
As a sophomore in 2024 he played in just 3 games and logged 135 snaps for the Tigers. He made 10 tackles, one assist, and had 4 stops. In coverage he totaled 3 pass breakups, no interceptions, and QB rating when targetted of 67.8.
Scouting Report: Strengths
- His ball skills are very good. Terrell tracks the ball well downfield and has the hands and coordination to come away with interceptions even when Terrell isn’t targeted often.
- Has explosive movement skills and the fluid athleticism and change-of-direction ability to come down and cover slot receivers.
- Does a good job getting his head around in time when playing with his back to the line of scrimmage. Has the ability to cover quickness underneath.
- Changes directions with ease and has the frame to hold up at any spot in the secondary.
- Explodes out of his backpedal and has exceptional closing speed, showing excellent timing and the ball skills to come up with the interception.
- Stays low in his backpedal and shows the click-and-close ability to break up plays in front of him. Terrell can move well laterally and shows excellent instincts when looking into the backfield in zone coverage.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Isn’t overly physical and might struggle to win early against bigger receivers in the NFL. He’s also underpowered in run support, not aggressive enough coming downhill, and too much of a grab-and-drag tackler.
- He’ll draw plenty of flags early on with his playing style. Terrell is hesitant when facing the action in zone coverage.
- Suspect technician who too often lets the action come to him and energy and effort are too inconsistent.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank

For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
