Andrew Coker from Taylor High School was rated a 3-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 3-star grade by 247 Sports. Following high school, Coker opted to join TCU.In 2019 as a freshman Coker saw action in just 3 games and played a total of 57 snaps for the Horned Frogs. He allowed just one QB hurry, one QB hit, and no sacks while playing at right tackle.
As a sophomore in 2020 he played in 8 games and a total of 456 snaps. He conceded 11 QB hurries, one QB hit, and 4 sacks while playing at right tackle.
In 2021 as a junior Coker saw action in 12 games and totaled 768 snaps. He gave up 13 QB hurries, 2 QB hits, and 3 sacks while playing most of his snaps at right tackle.

Scouting Report: Strengths
- In the run game, Coker plays with a mean streak and does a nice job generating a push at the initial point of attack. Coker can get outside and does a decent job landing blocks in space.
- He’ll consistently finish blocks, dropping on defenders when he has them on the ground. He shows good awareness reacting to twists and stunts as a pass protector, and he has the strength to anchor against bigger defensive linemen.
- Fires out of his stance with a good pad level, consistently winning at the point of attack.
- Carries his weight naturally, wide-framed with low body fat, along with long arms and large, powerful hands. He moves naturally, with agile feet and the natural balance to mirror in pass protection.
- Uses his hands well, with good hand placement to maximize his powerful punch. Coker shows impressive coordination between his upper and lower body when moving in pass protection.
- Cerebral player, quick to react to twists and stunts up front, and he shows an excellent understanding of angles when moving out as a run blocker.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- Sloppy with his hand placement, failing to take full advantage of his power
- Susceptible to speed rushers. Has only average quickness off the snap and doesn't possess the acceleration or arm length to corral defenders once they cross his face.
- Has enough power in the run game, but can be overwhelmed.
