The Bears looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Zion Logue at pick No. 256 regardless, 34 picks early. Hard to defend, and the D- reflects that.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. Jayden Daniels is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off.

The Bears indulged a want in Solomon while a need in edge rusher and linebacker stayed open. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.
