The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bears shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

Reaching for Foster left real value on the table behind him. They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Ransom at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and linebacker is still a hole.
