Tampa should have been long gone. The Bears pounced, and earned a B-.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Bears watched T.J. Tampa slide 36 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. If Henderson pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The Bears indulged a want in Stover while a need in edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots stayed open.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
