Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Luke McCaffrey got past him. The Raiders do not have to explain a thing at Round 5, Pick 30. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.

They will need Capehart to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Roy Robertson-Harris deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
