After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Vikings committed. Michael Penix Jr. is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 9th overall pick they get a long-term answer under center. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Tyleik Williams in pick No. 117 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. The roster fit checks out.
Malachi Moore at No. 154 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster logic is harder to follow.
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 6 slot with a little surplus value in Kamal Hadden. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
A quiet steal in slot 241: Zy Alexander for less than the market said. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
