Draft Grade — Bears
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB- TradesB- FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Bears.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Bears spent the Round 5 slot on Andrew Raym, a name most had 37 spots down the list. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The skill positions did well by the weekend.

Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Marvin Harrison Jr.
In No. 1 they get a go-to option on the outside at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick10 Rnd1 Rome Odunze
Rome Odunze at pick 10 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It fills a real need, too.
Pick74 Rnd3 Nazir Stackhouse
They left a pile of value on the table to take Nazir Stackhouse this early at pick No. 74. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick110 Rnd4 Cam Hart
They did well to land Cam Hart in the 110th pick, just ahead of his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick126 Rnd4 J. Michael Sturdivant
Fair-plus on J. Michael Sturdivant, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick147 Rnd5 Andrew Raym
This one needs a full-page explanation: Andrew Raym in Round 5, Pick 11, miles early. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick188 Rnd6 Zion Tupuola-Fetui
They paid a round early for Zion Tupuola-Fetui in the 188th pick, more than the board wanted. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick231 Rnd7 Julian Pearl
They went early on Julian Pearl in No. 231, and the value did not follow. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
