The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C+.

On value alone, Barrett makes the weekend a net positive. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

Hit on Jayden Daniels and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
