Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Raiders never addressed cornerback, and it is the kind of gap that lingers. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
The cost of the Yurosek reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 14th overall pick they get an anchor for the defensive front. A real need, handled.
Jordan Morgan in the 46th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Fair-plus on Chris Braswell, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They took Jalen McMillan at par in the Round 4 slot, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Malachi Moore at pick 151 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A minor need, but a need all the same.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Devin Neal in slot 192. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A premium they did not need to pay, Benjamin Yurosek a notch or two before his time. It fills a real need, too.
