The Cowboys finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a F. Thirty-one other rooms let Xavier Restrepo slide, and the Cowboys were the ones holding the card at pick 191. Highway robbery. A weekend to file away and forget, and an F to match.
They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Cam Ward gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits.
If Higgins pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.
Bottom line, it will take a lot of luck to make this look better later.
