Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Packers cashed the board's mistake on Jones: B-.

Somebody in No. 161 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Packers sat still while Jarrian Jones, the No. 137 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. They are betting Bishop proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Quinyon Mitchell
In the 25th pick they get a press-man option on the boundary. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick41 Rnd2 Jordan Morgan
Nothing to complain about; Jordan Morgan went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick58 Rnd2 Xavier Legette
A reach on Xavier Legette in No. 58; the board had better options right there. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick91 Rnd3 Cole Bishop
A reach for Cole Bishop in Round 3, Pick 28; a little patience would have been rewarded. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick98 Rnd3 Christian Mahogany
Christian Mahogany in the Round 3 slot is fair value, right on his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick126 Rnd4 Isaac Guerendo
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Isaac Guerendo. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick161 Rnd5 Jarrian Jones
Steal is underselling it; Jarrian Jones at pick 161 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick169 Rnd5 Ty'Ron Hopper
They jumped the gun on Ty'Ron Hopper, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick172 Rnd5 Tykee Smith
Tykee Smith at slot 172 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick187 Rnd6 Tip Reiman
Tip Reiman in pick 187 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick202 Rnd6 Daijun Edwards
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Daijun Edwards at the 202nd pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick219 Rnd6 Jordan Magee
Jordan Magee at the Round 6 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick245 Rnd7 Tyler Owens
Tyler Owens in the 245th overall pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick255 Rnd7 Trevin Wallace
You do not let a linebacker like Trevin Wallace reach pick No. 255 and blink. They did not. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
