A masterclass at the trade table lands the Steelers a C+. The tape said wait; the Steelers did not. Amarius Mims went at pick No. 23, a good 57 picks before the board was ready.
The Lovett value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.
Spending an early pick on offensive lineman with quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
