The Bears did not so much draft Brandon Coleman as overpay for him, 62 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. If one pick saves this weekend, it is McCarthy.

For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
