Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Raiders, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.
Jayden Daniels is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. That Jordan pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
Pick-by-Pick
Jayden Daniels at pick 12 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the quarterback. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They paid sticker price for Kalen King in the 44th pick, and that is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
No edge and no loss on Cooper Beebe in the 77th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Leonard Taylor III in Round 4, Pick 12 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The roster fit checks out.
Value with a capital V on Tommy Eichenberg in slot 136, a genuine coup. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Christian Jones at pick No. 190 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A running back of that caliber at the Round 7 slot is the definition of value, full stop. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
