A passer of the future in Daniels, and a B-, for the Commanders.

There is reaching, and then there is Tyler Harrell at the 223rd overall pick. The Commanders jumped the board by 158 and dared it to prove them wrong. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

Whatever Jayden Daniels becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Spending an early pick on DT-EDGE with tight end, running back and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

Corley at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
