Simpson should have been long gone. The Commanders pounced, and earned a A.

You could see the war room lean forward. Jaylin Simpson at pick No. 181 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Little to argue with here, and the A says so.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The Commanders indulged a want in Solomon while a need in wide receiver and interior defensive lineman stayed open.

In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.
