B+
Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders worked the phones like thieves and earned a B+.

2024 NFL Draft
· 12 picks
· 0 steals
· 5 reaches
If you want a masterclass in dealing, watch the Raiders, who turned every swap into a profit this weekend. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.
Spann-Ford has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 20 they get an anchor for the offensive line at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
A premium they did not need to pay, T'Vondre Sweat a notch or two before his time. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Jeremiah Trotter Jr. at the 60th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Johnny Wilson in pick No. 77 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Value said wait; Cam Hart in No. 112 says they were not listening. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
No drama and no debate, Braelon Allen went about where he belonged in Round 5, Pick 14. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They took Joe Milton III at par in the Round 5 slot, which is nothing to complain about. It fills a real need, too.
By-the-book stuff, Aki Ogunbiyi at the 193rd pick squarely in line with his ranking. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Brevyn Spann-Ford in Round 6, Pick 23 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A conviction pick on Jontrey Hunter at pick 211 that the board grades a round light. A minor itch, scratched.
Fair-plus on Steele Chambers, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
They paid a round early for Mark Perry in the 235th overall pick, more than the board wanted. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
