The search is over. The Raiders handed the keys to Quinn Ewers, and the whole operation now runs on his development. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
They are betting Davis proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
The Cornelius pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 7 they get a long-term answer under center at fair value.
A straight-up fair deal on Walter Nolen at the 39th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A tidy bit of business in slot 71, where Ajani Cornelius graded well above the range. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Jasheen Davis at pick No. 103 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Value said wait; Maxwell Hairston in Round 5, Pick 7 says they were not listening. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Jonah Coleman in the 167th pick is fair value, right on his grade. It fills a real need, too.
Lander Barton in No. 199 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
