The search is over. The Raiders handed the keys to Jayden Daniels, and the whole operation now runs on his development. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They banked enough surplus on Ali to cover a lot of smaller sins.
Hit on Jayden Daniels and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 4 they get a franchise quarterback. A real need, handled.
By-the-book stuff, Cooper Beebe at pick 77 squarely in line with his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Leonard Taylor III in slot 113 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They read the board right and Cam Hart was the payoff at pick No. 147. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Ethan Driskell at the 190th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Rasheen Ali at the Round 7 slot is money in the bank, a running back taken below his worth. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Josh Wallace at Round 7, Pick 11 is the proof. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
