The Raiders spent real capital to be 47 picks early on Spencer Rattler, and the board is going to hold them to it. It lands right in the middle: a C+, no more, no less.
A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
In the end, one you will need a couple of seasons to truly judge.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 13 they get a disruptive interior force. A clean fit for the roster.
Value said wait; Spencer Rattler in the Round 2 slot says they were not listening. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Zak Zinter in the 77th pick, miles early. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A reach on Jarrian Jones in pick No. 112; the board had better options right there. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They jumped the gun on Joe Milton III, taking him earlier than his grade liked. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Christian Jones. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They paid a round early for Dylan McMahon in the 234th overall pick, more than the board wanted. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
