Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Raiders came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.
Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Logue pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. That McClellan pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 13 they get a sticky cover corner at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
They paid sticker price for Kiran Amegadjie in the Round 2 slot, and that is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Cooper Beebe at slot 77 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They read the board right and Dominick Puni was the payoff at No. 112. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Cedric Gray in the 138th pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Nehemiah Pritchett in pick 150 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Josh Proctor in Round 6, Pick 15 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Jase McClellan at the 231st overall pick is money in the bank, a running back taken below his worth. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They liked Zion Logue enough to skip the value, taking him in the 234th overall pick. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
