Whoever sat across the table from the Raiders should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Sam Howell gives the group a proven body among the projects.
Landing Rice that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Keegan has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 24 they get a potential shutdown corner. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
The board had Brenden Rice higher than the Round 3 slot, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They did well to land Braden Fiske in the 87th overall pick, just ahead of his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Beau Brade at Round 4, Pick 17 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the safety. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
A clean, defensible pick in slot 190 with a little surplus value in Michael Barrett. It adds depth where they could use a little.
A reach for Trevor Keegan in the 231st pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
