Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles bled value on every deal, hence the D.

The phones were a trap the Eagles kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal.

The All reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The Smith steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Trading back for volume was the quiet throughline of their weekend.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.22 · Pick 22 · Taliese Fuaga · OT · rank 17
In slot 22 they get an anchor for the offensive line at fair value. A real need, handled.
R2.18 · Pick 50 · Kalen King · CB · rank 41
They read the board right and Kalen King was the payoff at the Round 2 slot. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R2.22 · Pick 54 · Chris Braswell · LB-EDGE · rank 57
Chris Braswell at Round 2, Pick 22 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R3.34 · Pick 97 · Khyree Jackson · CB · rank 105
A premium they did not need to pay, Khyree Jackson a notch or two before his time. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R4.7 · Pick 107 · Tykee Smith · S · rank 96
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Tykee Smith in the 107th overall pick. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R4.27 · Pick 127 · Will Shipley · RB · rank 134
Will Shipley at No. 127 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
R5.3 · Pick 139 · Jordan Travis · QB · rank 137
A straight-up fair deal on Jordan Travis at pick 139, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R5.5 · Pick 141 · Cole Bishop · S · rank 130
Cole Bishop slid further than he should have, and pick No. 141 is lovely value for the safety. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R5.24 · Pick 160 · Jaylen Wright · RB · rank 163
By-the-book stuff, Jaylen Wright at pick No. 160 squarely in line with his ranking. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R5.34 · Pick 170 · Delmar Glaze · C · rank 180
They went early on Delmar Glaze in pick 170, and the value did not follow. The roster fit checks out.
R5.35 · Pick 171 · Javon Baker · WR · rank 186
Javon Baker at the 171st overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R6.3 · Pick 178 · Chau Smith-Wade · CB · rank 168
A tidy bit of business in Round 6, Pick 3, where Chau Smith-Wade graded well above the range. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R6.9 · Pick 184 · Jordan Jefferson · DT · rank 187
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jordan Jefferson. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R6.29 · Pick 204 · Erick All · TE · rank 230
They talked themselves into Erick All at slot 204, and the board did not agree. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
