The trade table was a mismatch, and the Eagles were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.
Rosengarten falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
They paid sticker price for Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in pick No. 53, and that is fine. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Jaden Hicks in slot 78 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Khyree Jackson at Round 3, Pick 27 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Trey Benson in the 97th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Roger Rosengarten in No. 170 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Curtis Jacobs slipping to the Round 6 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
