The Commanders finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a A-.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Commanders spent their marquee pick on Michael Penix Jr., and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. Landing Tampa that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The veteran additions, James Conner chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Bottom line, with Michael Penix Jr. leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
