Thirty-one other rooms let Cam Hart slide, and the Cardinals were the ones holding the card at pick No. 226. Highway robbery. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

If Brooks pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
