Best value of the weekend goes to the Patriots for Sanders: B.

You could see the war room lean forward. Raheim Sanders at Round 7, Pick 4 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. With edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on linebacker is the choice that costs them. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
