Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Bears spent the 186th pick on Brevyn Spann-Ford, a name most had 44 spots down the list.

They banked enough surplus on Clark to cover a lot of smaller sins. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Bears clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
