Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB+ NeedB TradesA- FutureB-
The Packers robbed the room for Hart. Final grade: B.

Somebody in No. 126 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Packers sat still while Cam Hart, the No. 100 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Reaching for Gore Jr. left real value on the table behind him.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Taliese Fuaga
Nice patience on Taliese Fuaga, who had no business lasting to pick 25. The roster fit checks out.
Pick41 Rnd2 Nate Wiggins
Nate Wiggins in the 41st pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick59 Rnd2 Chris Braswell
Chris Braswell slid further than he should have, and the 59th overall pick is lovely value for the edge rusher. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick88 Rnd3 Christian Haynes
The board fumbled Christian Haynes all the way to No. 88, and they scooped it up. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick91 Rnd3 Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
Steal is underselling it; Jeremiah Trotter Jr. at slot 91 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick126 Rnd4 Cam Hart
Taking Cam Hart in Round 4, Pick 26 is close to grand larceny; a cornerback that good had no business lasting this long. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick127 Rnd4 McKinnley Jackson
A tidy little value on McKinnley Jackson in pick No. 127, a step better than break-even. It fills a real need, too.
Pick169 Rnd5 Mason McCormick
A top-tier offensive lineman at a bargain, Mason McCormick in the Round 5 slot, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick188 Rnd6 Malik Mustapha
Malik Mustapha in pick No. 188 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick202 Rnd6 Frank Gore Jr.
Frank Gore Jr. in the 202nd overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick219 Rnd6 Myles Harden
The board had Myles Harden higher than slot 219, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick245 Rnd7 Bub Means
Bub Means in the 245th pick is fair value, right on his grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick255 Rnd7 Jalen Coker
Jalen Coker in No. 255 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
