Nobody else had Darius Robinson anywhere near No. 147. The Bears did, by 51 spots, and that gap is the whole story.

That Pearsall pick is the receipt they will wave around later. With interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on DT-EDGE is the choice that costs them. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
