The phones were a trap the Eagles kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. For now it grades a C, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.
Every board in the league had Milton III lower, and that gap is the story. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. On value alone, Wright makes the weekend a net positive.
Hit on Quinyon Mitchell and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 22 they get a ballhawk on the outside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in pick 50 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Xavier Worthy. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Calen Bullock in the 74th pick is fair value, right on his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
The board fumbled Jaylen Wright all the way to pick No. 97, and they scooped it up. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Jaheim Bell at slot 157 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A need, and now a little less of one.
Value with a capital V on Tommy Eichenberg in the 160th overall pick, a genuine coup. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Value said wait; Joe Milton III in Round 5, Pick 34 says they were not listening. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Keith Randolph Jr. this early at pick 182. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They took LaDarius Henderson at par in the 240th pick, which is nothing to complain about. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
