Priorities are a choice, and the 49ers made a strange one, taking Rod Moore at defensive back in the 73rd overall pick with running back, interior defensive lineman and other spots crying out for the pick instead. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. That is a DT-EDGE worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
