The Bears worked the phones like thieves and earned a A-.

The Bears bet big and early on Sedrick Van Pran, 40 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

They banked enough surplus on Wilson to cover a lot of smaller sins. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Olumuyiwa Fashanu and all.
