The Patriots drew a line under the quarterback search with McCarthy: B+.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on J.J. McCarthy, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.

Johnson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. On value alone, Washington makes the weekend a net positive.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
