Draft Grade — Bears
Overall B+
ValueB+ NeedA- TradesA- FutureB-
The Bears let Ramsey fall and pounced. Final grade: B+.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Kamari Ramsey tumbling to the Bears in No. 90 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 James Pearce Jr.
In No. 18 they get a problem off the edge at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick33 Rnd2 Tyleik Williams
Tyleik Williams at the 33rd pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick59 Rnd2 Mykel Williams
Taking Mykel Williams in the 59th overall pick is close to grand larceny; an edge rusher that good had no business lasting this long. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick82 Rnd3 Aireontae Ersery
You do not let an offensive lineman like Aireontae Ersery reach pick 82 and blink. They did not. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick90 Rnd3 Kamari Ramsey
Circle this one: Kamari Ramsey at Round 3, Pick 26 is a fall that decides a draft. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick155 Rnd5 Mansoor Delane
Steal is underselling it; Mansoor Delane at slot 155 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick163 Rnd5 Raheim Sanders
They will replay Raheim Sanders at the Round 5 slot for years; that is how good the value is. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick204 Rnd6 Noah Fifita
Noah Fifita in pick No. 204 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick241 Rnd7 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Dont'e Thornton Jr. at pick 241 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The roster fit checks out.
