The board owed the Bears one, and it paid up: Christian Mahogany, the No. 87 name on the board, sitting there at pick 110 like a gift left on the doorstep.

Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Logue has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
