Arizona Cardinals

A sensible, unshowy class lands the Cardinals a B.

The Cardinals clearly saw something nobody else did in Audric Estime, taking him 30 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. The bottom line is a respectable B.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Getting Nubin where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.3 · Pick 3 · Marvin Harrison Jr. · WR · rank 1
In slot 3 they get a true top target at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
R1.17 · Pick 17 · JC Latham · OT · rank 17
In pick 17 they get a building block for the line. The biggest hole, addressed.
R2.3 · Pick 35 · Tyler Nubin · S · rank 21
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Tyler Nubin in Round 2, Pick 3. It adds depth where they could use a little.
R3.3 · Pick 67 · Cooper DeJean · CB · rank 60
They did well to land Cooper DeJean in the 67th pick, just ahead of his grade. A minor itch, scratched.
R3.9 · Pick 73 · Jackson Powers-Johnson · C · rank 80
Jackson Powers-Johnson at No. 73 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R3.17 · Pick 81 · Audric Estime · RB · rank 111
They reached into another round for Audric Estime, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
