Mcr475 DRAFTING FOR THEBears

Draft Grade — Bears
Overall

The Bears did enough to get by: C+. If confidence were a draft strategy, the Bears would have aced it. Darius Robinson at Round 3, Pick 11 is 46 spots clear of where he belonged. It lands right in the middle: a C+, no more, no less.
However the rest shakes out, Taylor III at that price is a win they earned. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it.
So much rides on Marvin Harrison Jr. that the real verdict is a season or two away.
Pick Analysis
Pick3
Rnd1
Marvin Harrison Jr.
In No. 3 they get a difference-maker at receiver. A real need, handled.
Pick9
Rnd1
Olumuyiwa Fashanu
In Round 1, Pick 9 they get a long-term starter on the line at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick34
Rnd2
Jackson Powers-Johnson
Jackson Powers-Johnson at the 34th pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick75
Rnd3
Darius Robinson
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Darius Robinson well ahead of where he belonged. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick110
Rnd4
Jaden Hicks
A clean, defensible pick in slot 110 with a little surplus value in Jaden Hicks. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick122
Rnd4
Leonard Taylor III
Value with a capital V on Leonard Taylor III in pick No. 122, a genuine coup. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick146
Rnd5
Braelon Allen
Braelon Allen in the 146th pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
