FutureB-
Quarterback settled, Daniels in the fold, and a B+ for the Bears. The Bears spent the pick that matters most on Jayden Daniels, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
On value alone, James makes the weekend a net positive.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick Analysis
Pick3
Rnd1
Jayden Daniels
In No. 3 they get their guy under center for the next decade at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick5
Rnd1
Malik Nabers
In the 5th overall pick they get a No. 1 receiver. A real need, handled.
Pick37
Rnd2
Tyler Guyton
Tyler Guyton slid further than he should have, and pick No. 37 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick69
Rnd3
DJ James
Nice patience on DJ James, who had no business lasting to pick 69. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
