The rest of the league will want that one back. Christian Jones tumbling to the Eagles in slot 172 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.
The cost of the Guerendo reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The Eagles paired the rookies with proven help, Jalen Ramsey leading the way.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
Nice patience on Chop Robinson, who had no business lasting to pick 33. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Fair-plus on Edgerrin Cooper, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
A straight-up fair deal on Kingsley Suamataia at slot 60, value and slot in agreement. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A reach for Isaac Guerendo in the Round 4 slot; a little patience would have been rewarded. A need, and now a little less of one.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Johnny Wilson at the 142nd overall pick is the proof. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Tykee Smith at Round 5, Pick 25 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
AJ Barner in No. 171 is fair value, right on his grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
