The Raiders spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Jaxson Dart, the No. 127 name on the board, in the 212th overall pick.
The Hudson pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.
They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a home-run threat at receiver at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They robbed the room for Quinn Ewers here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Jason Marshall Jr. at the 69th overall pick is the proof. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A reach on Billy Bowman Jr. in No. 73; the board had better options right there. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Harold Perkins Jr. at slot 105 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Kobe Hudson in the 141st pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They read the board right and Kyle Monangai was the payoff at pick 185. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Somehow Jaxson Dart was still sitting there in pick No. 212, and they pounced on premier quarterback value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They went early on Shilo Sanders in slot 224, and the value did not follow. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
