FutureA+
The Bears finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a A. They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Bears' quarterback, full stop. One of the weekend's best, top to bottom, and a A to show for it.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. Landing Turner that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
In the end it comes back to Jayden Daniels, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
Pick Analysis
Pick9
Rnd1
Jayden Daniels
No drama and no debate, Jayden Daniels went about where he belonged in slot 9. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick36
Rnd2
Dallas Turner
They robbed the room for Dallas Turner here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick40
Rnd2
Darius Robinson
Darius Robinson at No. 40 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick51
Rnd2
Ennis Rakestraw Jr.
Ennis Rakestraw Jr. in pick 51 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick67
Rnd3
Payton Wilson
Value with a capital V on Payton Wilson in Round 3, Pick 3, a genuine coup. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick69
Rnd3
Sedrick Van Pran
Sedrick Van Pran in pick No. 69 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick75
Rnd3
Cooper Beebe
A tidy little value on Cooper Beebe in the 75th overall pick, a step better than break-even. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick105
Rnd4
Malik Washington
They let Malik Washington come to them and pounced at the 105th pick. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick110
Rnd4
MarShawn Lloyd
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and MarShawn Lloyd at Round 4, Pick 10 is the proof. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick119
Rnd4
Ben Sinnott
A reach for Ben Sinnott in the 119th overall pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick122
Rnd4
Matt Goncalves
Matt Goncalves in the 122nd pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick140
Rnd5
Jaylin Simpson
Jaylin Simpson at pick No. 140 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
