Draft Grade — Bears
Overall A
ValueB NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureA+
Nobody dealt better than the Bears this weekend: A.

Whoever sat across the table from the Bears should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. Add it all up and it grades out a clean A.

They will need Powers-Johnson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The Beebe value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

A strong weekend's work, and a rare one to find this little fault with.

Pick Analysis
Pick29 Rnd1 Chop Robinson
In pick 29 they get juice off the edge, and a steal at that. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick61 Rnd2 Jackson Powers-Johnson
Jackson Powers-Johnson at the 61st pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick68 Rnd3 Cooper Beebe
A offensive lineman of that caliber at Round 3, Pick 4 is the definition of value, full stop. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick92 Rnd3 Christian Haynes
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Christian Haynes. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick104 Rnd4 Payton Wilson
Payton Wilson in No. 104 lands just on the right side of the ledger. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick141 Rnd5 Mike Sainristil
The board had cheaper options than Mike Sainristil at the Round 5 slot, and it noticed. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick182 Rnd6 De'Corian Clark
De'Corian Clark at pick No. 182 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick225 Rnd7 Rasheen Ali
Rasheen Ali at the 225th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
