Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Packers: B-.

The Packers treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending the 219th overall pick on Matthew Jones a full 52 spots early. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

Jacobs at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Cooper DeJean
In the 25th pick they get an island corner at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick41 Rnd2 Adonai Mitchell
They read the board right and Adonai Mitchell was the payoff at the 41st overall pick. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick58 Rnd2 T'Vondre Sweat
Quietly one of the better values of the day, T'Vondre Sweat at slot 58. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick88 Rnd3 Cedric Gray
A wild overpay on Cedric Gray in pick 88, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick91 Rnd3 Christian Mahogany
Christian Mahogany at No. 91 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick126 Rnd4 Braelon Allen
You do not let a running back like Braelon Allen reach pick No. 126 and blink. They did not. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick169 Rnd5 Walter Rouse
Walter Rouse in the Round 5 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. It fills a real need, too.
Pick202 Rnd6 Dwight McGlothern
Somehow Dwight McGlothern was still sitting there in the 202nd overall pick, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick219 Rnd6 Matthew Jones
They left a pile of value on the table to take Matthew Jones this early at Round 6, Pick 44. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick245 Rnd7 Curtis Jacobs
Curtis Jacobs in slot 245 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick255 Rnd7 Charles Turner III
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Charles Turner III well ahead of where he belonged. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
